Triton 700 оказался очень хорош. У ноутбука отличное качество сборки и оригинальный дизайн. Согласен, не всем придется по вкусу стеклянный некликабельный тачпад, однако игровой машине нужна качественная игровая периферия — я в этом твердо убежден. При активации WhisperMode устройство действительно работает тихо, хотя и заметно снижается общая игровая производительность ноутбука. Топовая конфигурация «Тритона» ближайшие несколько лет не нуждается в апгрейде. Единственным минусом этого ноутбука является его цена, так как конкурент предлагает схожее по функциональности, эргономике и производительности решение гораздо дешевле.

In any case, prepare to pay a little bit more for the extra features. The Predator 700 sells for around $3 000 at the time of writing this review while the ASUS ROG Zephyrus’ asking price is around $2 500 – 2 700. This positions both machines in a category of their own as laptops with GTX 1070 are considerably less expensive while GTX 1080 are huge 17-inchers charging a price premium. And if you are not really that into “portability”, you might be better off with a GTX 1070-powered laptop with a good cooling solution. Just a little overclocking will easily match the GTX 1080 Max-Q’s performance.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q graphics chip in our review unit was an impressive performer, approaching or exceeding triple-digit average framerates in the games we tested. Thanks to the 120Hz G-Sync display on this notebook, you can actually utilize most of that performance—provided your eyeballs can actually register such high frame rates. That said, keep in mind the Max-Q graphics chip isn’t as fast as a standard GTX 1080. In our benchmarks, a standard GTX 1070 performed similarly to the GTX 1080 Max-Q. We’re not necessarily complaining, as the Triton 700 still provided more performance than we’d previously seen in this form factor.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q: Видеокарта с высокой энергоэффективностью поколения Pascal (чип GP104) с 8 ГБ видеопамяти GDDR5X. Содержи 2560 шейдеров, производительность относительно полновесной GTX 1080 снижена на 10-15%, но энергопотребление гораздо ниже.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности способны на многое и подойдут для большинства игр, иногда даже при максимальных настройках и разрешениях. Чаще всего GPU "просто верхнего" уровня производительности расходуют заметно меньше энергии, чем самые-самые топовые и дорогие модели.

i7-7700HQ: Четырехъядерный мобильный процессор из семейства Kaby Lake. Кроме процессорных ядер с поддержкой Hyperthreading имеет также встроенную видеокарту HD Graphics 630. Производится по 14 нм техпроцессу.
