Нет ничего удивительного в том, что Apple iPad Air 2 нам понравился. Во-первых, нас впечатлила толщина планшета, которая делает его самым тонким устройством в мире. Петь оды внешнему виду гаджетов от Apple можно долго, поэтому мы просто отметим его безупречное исполнение и качественные материалы. Дисплей планшетного ПК особо не видоизменился, единственное, он стал тоньше за счет отсутствия воздушной прослойки, а количество бликов уменьшилось на 56%. Порадовало улучшение качества съемки тыловой камерой, а также ее дополнительные возможности.

Корпус iMac стал еще тоньше, однако это известная хитрость. Apple стабильно уменьшает толщину по краям корпуса, в то время как центральная часть остается довольно толстой. Ну и потом, это же стационарный компьютер, а значит, изменения в «объеме талии» вообще отходят на второй план. Да, добавлю, что внутри в базовой версии стоит процессор Intel Core i5 с четырьмя ядрами и частотой 3,5 ГГц, а также 8 ГБ оперативной памяти и гибридный накопитель Fusion Drive. Конфигурировать iMac можно будет очень гибко, но об этом мы расскажем уже в обзоре. Пока же стоит добавить только, что в России iMac с Retina-дисплеем будет стоить чуть дороже 120 тысяч рублей. За дополнительные навороты нужно будет доплачивать, так что iMac мечты вполне может потянуть и на 200 тысяч рублей.

There are some subtle differences like the Rose Gold option, "Hey Siri" and the camera bump but if you're going to spend £150 on the new iPad Pro instead of the iPad Air 2 it's got to be because you will make use of the better screen, extra processing power, more storage and the way it's setup for productivity. And that's with the additional cost of the Smart Keyboard and/or Apple Pencil. If you're just looking for a decent tablet for pleasure, the iPad Air 2 will suffice.

Although we've only had hands-on time with the Galaxy Tab S2 it's clear to see that it's a great tablet – even if it has suddenly matched the iPad on screen size, aspect ratio and resolution. The S2 wins on dimensions but it's so close that this is really just bragging rights and both tablets have top-notch specs. Aside from the choice between iOS and Android storage and price are the big differences here with that potentially deal breaking Micro-SD card slot found on Samsung's tablet only.

Battery life, too, remains high. While the actual capacity on the Air 2 is smaller than the original Air, improvements with the motion coprocessor mean the battery life is just as good in real terms. It should last 2 days comfortably, and at least a day under heavy loads. The iPad Air 2 is undoubtedly a quality device. It does have a premium price tag, however, as it will cost you at least £399. Separated by only $100, it’s really tough for us to recommend going with the iPad mini 3 – even though it’s the cheaper of the two models, at $399. It’s even tougher to swallow knowing that it doesn’t see any major improvements, or differences, with its own predecessor. Flipping it around, the $500 cost of the iPad Air 2 makes plenty of sense, since it’s boasting the better internals and performance. At the same time, we have to point out that the iPad Air 2’s larger size makes it more ideal for certain things – such as typing up documents, surfing the web, and watching videos. All in all, this is one quick tablet, all set for some great game playing if you like that sort of thing. It also makes for a silk-smooth interface and the power to take on production duties from the more serious apps out there. The best iPad upgrade yet? Undoubtedly. Lighter with improved screen tech, makes it even easier to use as a reading slate. The perennial storage gripes aside, it’s one helluva tablet computer.
