HUAWEI красавчики, что тут скажешь — буквально смартфон класса «больше такого ни у кого нет». Вон, мы ещё в 2021 г. ходили на закрытую презентацию Oppo, где нам показывали смартфон с разворачивающимся экраном-свёртком. И чо? И всё! В серийное производство его не запустили. Наверное, были проблемы с надёжностью (высокая цена китайцев никогда не останавливала, если речь идёт о рекордно крутых смартфонах). А вот HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate Design живее всех живых, живее Ленина. Существует, работает, проблем владельцам не доставляет (китайцы пользуются их китайской версией Mate XT ещё с осени 2024 г., до сих пор никаких конструктивных проблем, как у первых Samsung Galaxy Fold в своё время, выявлено не было.

У него есть очевидные ограничения, связанные, например, с производительностью платформы Kirin (тем более прошлогодней, на подножку с Kirin 9020 он уже вскочить не успел — впрочем, и разница между ними невелика) и отсутствием сервисов Google (что к настоящему моменту не воспринимается как катастрофа, поскольку обойти проблему можно без труда). Unfortunately, Huawei has just held the global launch event for the Mate XT in Malaysia, and we were informed that the tri-foldable smartphone will not be made available for purchase in Singapore. That's right, the one Huawei phone that people here might buy because of its unique folding style. If your heart is set on the phone, there are ways of getting your hands on one (read: look across the border). Disappointment aside, we were lucky enough to have a bit of time with the foldable smartphone, so here's what we think about it.

Although it won't be available in Singapore, the phone will retail for RM14,999 (approximately S$4,500), a hair above our earlier estimate of S$4,400. It's not something everybody can afford, and the price is undoubtedly eye-watering. However, we think it's worth it if you value productivity and having a large screen for your primary device. If you consider that the Huawei Mate XT can essentially be both a smartphone and tablet in one, the price isn't too outrageous since you don't have to buy another tablet with the Mate XT in hand. Unfortunately, the Huawei Mate XT will not be coming to Singapore. The phone will only be sold outside of China in Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Cambodia.

The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Edition is big, gold and a rather miraculous achievement. The big shame is that with such an exotic and exciting piece of hardware, it doesn’t have the Google Play Store or Google’s core apps installed out of the box, and that means it can be a faff to get the software you want installed. It’s also ludicrously expensive. But does that matter? Do those facts make this phone any less of a marvel? In my humble opinion, not really.The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate is, quite simply, the most ambitious piece of smartphone design I’ve come across in my long years as a technology journalist. It may not be practical but it is a wonder of engineering and product design. Admire it simply for that.

Huawei has managed to design an incredible foldable phone that will surely leave many users stunned when they look at the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate smartphone. Its large display is impressive, and the mechanism that unfolds the phone is mesmerizing. In terms of design and display, this is the best foldable phone out there and it has no competition worthy of a challenge. You will have a blast of time using this phone no matter which screen you choose. The camera performance is also exceptional and can even beat the likes of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 in many scenarios. The same goes for the battery life.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.
