Как и в случае с другими «оверпрайснутыми» на старте продаж смартфонами, LG G7 ThinQ стал предпочтительнее для покупки только через несколько месяцев после выхода. Что он представляет из себя сейчас, в самом конце года? Это смартфон с отличным дисплеем, со все еще флагманским процессором Snapdragon 845, защитой корпуса по «военному» стандарту MIL-STD810G, хорошей, но не дотягивающей до топовых образцов камерой и едва ли не самым лучшим звучанием среди смартфонов. Если вы любите и умеете слушать музыку, то LG G7 ThinQ кажется очевидным выбором.

При розничной цене этого телефона 59 990 рублей и полной поддержке производителя (что означает — впереди возможны обновления и улучшения прошивки), я определенно не стану агитировать против покупки смартфона LG G7. Но если только вы не ищете специально телефон с лучшим звуком (или вам позарез требуется радуга на верхней полосе экрана), я, пожалуй, не поставил бы LG G7 первым в списке моих рекомендаций.

For me the G7 just feels like a phone that has been rushed out and the designers just didn’t get to polish the details out. The two biggest concerns, display calibration and camera calibration, are both fixable by software. But as we’ve seen in the past, the chances of vendors addressing such issues after the fact are slim and are more of an exception to the norm. For now, I don’t see the G7 as a competitive offering versus a similarly priced OnePlus 6, or a superior product, the Galaxy S9(+).

Should you buy the G7? I wouldn’t recommend it. With so many other good options on the market, plus plenty more phones on the horizon, investing in the G7 doesn’t sound very appealing. You’ll be living with a subpar Android skin, battery life that seems all over the place, as well as the possibility that your phone may not see great software update support. I still stress, though, Google’s Treble could help you there, but until we know for sure, buyer beware.

I happen to like the LG G7 ThinQ quite a bit. The simple design, the display, the response time, and the speed are important features for me. Eventually, I can see myself using the boombox, but the deal breaker for me though is the camera. I take a lot of photos, and while the AI camera has the capability to take great shots, how the G7 handles low light natively is a problem. There are other phones on the market that tackle this problem with minimal effort. While there may not be a fix for that, what LG has going for it is a promised expandability via software updates. In just using it the last few weeks I have noticed the speed in which LG addresses problems in the device. Something I have not experienced before with other smartphones. LG may be on to something.

Equally, while the LG G7 ThinQ's camera tech is high-powered on paper, and did deliver some good shots during the hands on testing period, including in low-light, I did notice some less than ideal image processing when shots were blown up, so again until I can test the camera system over an extended period, I will definitely not pass definitive judgement.

There you have it: the LG G7 ThinQ. LG proves each year it really prioritizes key aspects others might take for granted (like a high-quality headphone jack, for instance). While some of its decisions this year seem more trend-following (like the notch), the features where LG tries to be different are what people will really appreciate. The wide-angle camera is great but we will have to wait and see if Boombox Sound ends up on the list, as well.

The G7+ is a reasonably good, but unexciting and risk-averse smartphone. It feels almost like LG has been burned one too many times trying out-of-the-box, experimental ideas, and now it's gone completely the other way and is trying to play it as safe as possible. Everything from the typical aluminum and glass design, to the notched display, and even the Boombox speaker and AI camera features are things we've seen before in other phones.

Да, G7 fit хорошо фотографирует (а вот видео снимает так себе), хорошо звучит, прекрасен для просмотра видео в высоком качестве и это единственный приличный недорогой смартфон с водозащитой. Но он "икает", греется и разряжается настолько быстро, что выйти из дома без Power Bank страшно. И даже при том, что это лучшая Lite-версия флагмана среди всех когда-либо созданных, получился всё равно смартфон "на любителя". А убыточному мобильному подразделению корейцев уже давно пора бы перейти от таких экспериментов к смартфонам "для всех", иначе добром эта история для мобильников LG не кончится.

Более привлекательный внешне, он получил свежий 8-ядерный процессор и вдвое увеличенный объем встроенной памяти (64 ГБ против 32 ГБ). Оба фото-модуля у него явно покруче и даже имеется ИК-порт. Правда, Huawei Honor 10 трудно конкурировать с ярким HDR-экраном и громким "мультимедийным" динамиком в G7 Fit. Кроме того, "красавчик" Honor не может похвастаться сертифицированной защитой корпуса, да и слот расширения памяти картами microSD у него отсутствует.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.

Qualcomm Adreno 630: Встроенная графика для смартфонов, используется в чипсете Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Согласно Qualcomm, решение на 30% превосходит Adreno 540 в Snapdragon 835 при сокращенном на 30% энергопотреблении.

Qualcomm Snapdragon:

SD 845: Топовый чипсет для смартфонов, представлен в начале 2018 года. Производится по 10 нм LPP FinFET техпроцессу силами TSMC. Процессор состоит из двух кластеров: производительный из 4 ядер Kryo 385 (Cortex-A75) с частотой 2.8 ГГц и энергоэффективный из 4 ядер Kryo 385 с частотой 1.8 Ггц. Содержит модем X20 LTE, двухдиапазонный модуль WiFi и 32-битный двухканальный контроллер памяти LPDDR4x 1866 МГц.

SD 835: Топовый чипсет для смартфонов и планшетов в 2017 году. Производится по 10 нм LPP FinFET техпроцессу силами TSMC. Процессор состоит из двух кластеров: производительный из 4 ядер Kryo 280 (Cortex-A75) с частотой 2.45 ГГц и энергоэффективный из 4 ядер Kryo 280 с частотой 1.9 Ггц.

SD 821: Флагманский ARM чипсет с четырехъядерным процессором и графикой Adreno 530. Изготавлвается по нормам 14-нм техпроцесса HPM
