By all means, the Moto G5 Plus is not a perfect mid-range phone. There's the weird panorama feature which I think would disappoint some phoneography enthusiasts, same goes to consumers who are into selfies since there's no beauty mode to be found. But other than that, there's nothing much to complain about the device. It has a nearly perfect camera, good battery life and charging, no heating issue after a few minutes of gaming, and convenient ways to open apps by using the shaking motion sensor. So looking from a camera-angle point of view, it is actually more value than the RM1299 price tag it is going for.

This is not only the best Moto G, but also the most expensive one. The 3GB RAM variant with 16GB storage is priced at Rs 14,999 and the 4GB RAM version with 32GB storage at Rs 16,999. Comparing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage is at Rs 12,999. Moto is not offering a 64GB variant. Of course Moto capitalises on the fact that it is offering the handset without any flash sales, whereas getting a Redmi Note 4 is a tough cookie.

That's not to say this isn't a good mid-range phone, though. It can certainly compete with the Galaxy A3 and the Nokia 6, but so can the Moto G5 with that lower price. OK, while none of these are a deal breaker for me, there are some things I find annoying. The G5 Plus has NFC and that means you can use Android Pay -- unless you live in the US. Why doesn't the US get NFC? I don't know. A spokesperson for Motorola said that "in the US, NFC capabilities are in less demand within the value tier." Still, it's a bit of a bummer.

Motorola traded in the cheap, flashy plastics of older G series handsets for finer, more sedate metals in the G5 Plus. The result is a pleasing handset that looks and feels better than the price point. The phone has a great full HD screen, excellent build quality, and a nice size/weight. Everyone will be happy with the battery life and wireless performance, though call quality was a bit of a drag.

Absolutely. But buy it for the overall experience, and especially for that clean Android Nougat. Although the Moto G5 Plus performs well in all areas and has a nice enough design, its biggest strength remains its overall experience. Once again it is a Moto G, which is bigger than any one single part. Its camera is one of the best we have seen in this price bracket and its performance is fantastic, complete with the clean Android. Its design is attractive, although a curved glass on the screen, could have been the cherry on the cake.

Qualcomm Adreno 506: Встроенная графика в ARM чипсетах, можно найти в составе Snapdragon 625 и Snapdragon 450. Поддерживает Vulkan, OpenGL ES 3.1 + AE (3.2) и UBWC.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности практически не подходят дли игр, но справятся с самыми простыми делами, вроде отображения 2D-материала на экране умеренного разрешения.

625: Восьмиядерный процессор (SoC) среднего уровня, имеет восемь ядер ARM Cortex-A53 (до 2 ГГц), графику Adreno 506, контроллер памяти DDR3L-1866 и модем X9 LTE Category 7. Производится по нормам 14-нанометрового технологического процесса.
