ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro — это не просто гаджет с мощной аппаратной платформой (как на куче других телефонов, предлагающихся за большие деньги) и характерным дизайном, а устройство, весьма тщательно заточенное именно под игровые задачи. Тут и софт с очень подробными настройками (сразу три панели для разных ситуаций), и экран с не самым высоким в классе разрешением (только Full HD+), но при этом очень быстрый (частота обновления — до 185 Гц) и как минимум в некоторых играх использующий максимальную частоту. В наличии и вполне вменяемое встроенное охлаждение — корпус сильно греется, но троттлинг небольшой, и до перегрева дело не доходит. Если же вы совсем заигрались, то в комплекте есть внешний кулер, который, к слову, действительно оказывает влияние на температуру корпуса и ЦП. Ну и всякие приятные мелочи, вроде двух портов USB Type-C, мини-джека и хорошей автономности.

Тут и софт с очень подробными настройками (сразу три панели для разных ситуаций), и экран с не самым высоким в классе разрешением (только Full HD+), но при этом очень быстрый (частота обновления — до 185 Гц) и как минимум в некоторых играх использующий максимальную частоту. В наличии и вполне вменяемое встроенное охлаждение — корпус сильно греется, но троттлинг небольшой, и до перегрева дело не доходит. Если же вы совсем заигрались, то в комплекте есть внешний кулер, который, к слову, действительно оказывает влияние на температуру корпуса и ЦП. Ну и всякие приятные мелочи, вроде двух портов USB Type-C, мини-джека и хорошей автономности.

Seriously, Qualcomm kept shouting “3 million points in AnTuTu” but that score is unrealistic. I only got that once and never again. I suspect that in order to consistently get the 3 million points, we have to have the phone’s motherboard strapped directly to a Noctua NH-D15 or just put it in a freezer, then let it boost to the highest possible performance.

I’ve felt a twinge of disappointment using the ROG Phone 9 Pro. Not because it’s bad (far from it), but because it’s extremely similar to the ROG Phone 8 Pro. The ROG Phone 8 Pro was a new beginning for Asus and the ROG Phone line, and it’s a shame its replacement hasn’t moved things forward again. There’s no question it’s a brilliant phone for gaming. ROG Phone 9 Pro и ROG Phone 9 — это не шутки. Они до отказа наполнены высокими технологиями, их оптимизация безупречна, и они являются чемпионами по производительности и выносливости. У них характерный агрессивный внешний вид, но он немного смягчён, чтобы вы могли использовать его в качестве повседневного телефона, не выглядя так, будто держите игровую приставку у уха. Есть пара недостатков. Камеры, хоть и пригодны для использования, не могут сравниться с другими телефонами за 1000 долларов. И гарантия обновления Android в течение 2 лет не очень хороша. Тем не менее, есть веская причина, по которой у телефонов ROG много поклонников в игровой нише. Компания Asus не стесняется в выражениях, и они всегда являются лучшими по сравнению с другими. Это действительно смартфон для энтузиастов. Если вы относитесь к этой нише, то, вероятно, уже решили его купить. И мы здесь, чтобы сказать: он вас не разочарует!

It also has a wealth of innovative game-centric features like a second USB-C port, shoulder-mounted Aero Active triggers and the Armoury Crate app though it does have its quibbles, none of which are game related. The phone unfortunately doesn’t have the longest OS and security update policy in the market nor does it have the best cameras. While it is an adequate general purpose flagship phone, it truly shines as a gaming phone.

To me, the ROG Phone 9 blurs the line of being a gaming phone and a standard flagship smartphone. It’s a great device for sure and given its price of RM3,999, you’re getting a 2025 flagship-caliber smartphone. You can take good photos with this, so you don’t have to feel like you’re making a huge compromise by going for a gaming phone but if camera is the focal point of your smartphone purchase decision, you might be better off with a standard flagship as those can give better colors and details. None however can match the battery life that this one offers.

The ROG Phone 9 has been incredibly fun to use and play games with. It’s been fun bumping all the specs to their max and playing Wild Rift without the device getting warm. There were a lot of AI features, but most were game-related, and I didn’t use them for the game I was playing. The handset doesn’t take the best pictures, but if you’re not someone who takes a lot of shots, you probably won’t mind, especially if you’re a geek who just wants to play. The ROG Phone 9 is a solid phone, and I’m happy I got the chance to play around with the handset.

If you want nothing short of the best mobile gaming experience, we believe that the ROG Phone line is still the way to go. The ROG Phone 9 family has the most in-depth and comprehensive set of gaming features on top of excellent and, in many ways, specifically crafted hardware. The ROG Phone 9 generation is all about refinement. Last year, the family saw a major redesign, and now Asus is ironing out any issues and grievances users might have had. The latest and greatest Snapdragon chipset is sort of a given, but we still have to admire how well the ROG Phone 9 handles cooling on the beastly chipset and how efficient it is. The boost in the display refresh rate is also appreciated.

Finally – the question of why this phone exists? Well, I also asked the same question and I thought the phone was unnecessary, until I knew the price. At just RM2,999, you can get this ROG Phone 9 FE. I mean, it’s quite a good deal considering that it comes with the features of the ROG Phone 9, but with the specs of the ROG Phone 8. Yet the price is way lower than expected. As far as I know, there are other promos in the mix as well – making this phone a fantastic deal to those who are eyeing to get the ROG Phone but don’t really vibe with the price. Plus, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 can run at its full potential on the ROG Phone 9 FE – and the performance gap when compared to the 8 Elite is not as significant. That just makes the ROG Phone 9 FE an even better deal, in my opinion.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Интегрированный графический блок в SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite для смартфонов с тремя платами по 1,1 ГГц каждая. Встроенный общий кэш-память объемом 12 МБ для трех сегментов. По данным Qualcomm, на 40% быстрее, чем предыдущее поколение (Adreno 750).

Qualcomm Adreno 750: Графический чип для смартфонов и планшетов, интегрированный в SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Qualcomm утверждает, что он на 25% быстрее, чем Adreno 7340 в Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, а первые бенчмарки показывают, что GPU может обойти iGPU Apple A17 Pro.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8:

SD 8 Elite: Высокотехнологичный SoC (System on a Chip) для смартфонов, который был представлен в конце 2024 года. В него интегрированы два быстрых ядра Oryon Gen 2 Prime с частотой до 4,32 ГГц и 6 меньших ядер Oryon Gen 2 Performance с частотой до 3,53 ГГц.

SD 8 Gen 3: Высокотехнологичная SoC для смартфонов, представленная в конце 2022 года, оснащена быстрым основным ядром на базе архитектуры ARM Cortex-X3 с тактовой частотой до 3,2 ГГц. Еще два производительных ядра основаны на A715 и также поддерживают только 64-битные приложения. Два дополнительных ядра A710 также поддерживают 32-битные приложения, как и энергосберегающие ядра Cortex-A510. Помимо процессорных ядер, в SoC интегрированы модем WiFi 7, DSP Hexagon (для ускорения искусственного интеллекта) и провайдер Spectra ISP. Встроенный контроллер памяти поддерживает быструю память LPDDR5x с частотой до 4 200 МГц. технология 5G включена в чип с модемом Snapdragon X70.
