Он симпатично выглядит, собран из добротных материалов, имеет яркий дисплей на 120 Гц, обладает производительным процессором и быстрой зарядкой с хорошим запасом автономности. Больше всего порадовали камеры смартфона, которые могут выдавать снимки по качеству сопоставимые с любительскими камерами с Kit’овым объективом. К минусам мы отнесли отсутствие Google сервисов и поддержки 5G сетей.

Компания продолжает неутомимо строить собственную платформу, функционирующую без сервисов Google и, следует отметить, ей это удается, хотя процесс идет все же небыстро. Видимо, опасаясь испортить отношения с поисковым гигантом, многие крупные компании-разработчики приложений не торопятся присоединиться к проекту Huawei. Сегодня ситуация такова: если вам постоянно нужны сервисы Google в телефоне, то P50 Pro вам не подойдет, но может пригодится для многого другого.

Huawei на рынке флагманских смартфонов откровенно не хватало. Да, Google-сервисы не вернулись, да, на мировой рынок новинка выходит с опозданием на полгода. Но в эпоху, когда количество настоящих флагманов сократилось до минимума (некоторые китайские бренды отказываются везти свои топ-модели в Россию, другие компании, вроде Motorola или ASUS, метят в чуть более низкий ценовой сегмент), возвращение компании, представлявшей в последние годы, пожалуй, самые технологичные решения, воспринимается очень радостно. Впрочем, настоящего возвращения бати (как в фильме Звягинцева) все-таки не получилось. Несмотря на первенство в рейтинге DxOMark, реальный уровень камеры в сравнении с тем, как снимал P40 Pro, не вырос — даже скорее слегка упал, если брать совокупность функций (ухудшившееся качество съемки на широкоугольный модуль, сокращенный зум). Главная камера, снимающая со стандартным фокусным расстоянием, действительно хороша, да и зум-модуль позволяет уверенно снимать даже в ситуациях со сложным освещением — но это больше не ориентир для всех.

Зато: быстрая зарядка и так, и эдак; водозащита, поддержка карт памяти и отличный стереозвук. Дизайн понравится и мужчинам, и девушкам: смартфон легкий, удобный. Дисплей откалиброван практически идеально, и 120 Гц с плавной EMUI 12 смотрятся шикарно. У кого болят глаза от OLED-экранов — вообще спасение. Цену чуть не забыли. 89 999 рублей. В Европе смартфон стоит 1199 евро, в пересчете по курсу — около 103 тысяч. Неплохую скидку для России выбили. Как всегда. Будут и подарки: умные часы Huawei Watch 3, которые отдельно стоят 27 тысяч. Получается, Huawei P50 Pro на «десятку» дешевле iPhone 13 Pro. И вообще, один из самых доступных Pro-флагманов.

All in all, the Huawei P50 Pro is a great phone with a lot going for it. The screen is stunning, it’s powerful and it has a good battery life. Not to mention the camera which is the focal point of this handset and manages to produce some really incredible shots. But, and it is a very big but, the Huawei P50 Pro is lacking in some very significant ways which really lets it down and makes it much more difficult to recommend. Pretty much every other recent flagship phone in 2022 has up to date connectivity, so you’re bound to feel hard done by paying such an eye-watering amount of money on a device that doesn’t have 5G support. While that will be off-putting, for the majority of people, it’ll be the lack of Google apps that would stop them splashing out on this. If you tend to to avoid the global tech giant anyway then it won’t be a problem, and well done you, but it’s hard to avoid in Europe. We all use Google in one way or another, whether that’s for email, cloud storage or smart home control.

Even with the leeway offered, its performance and appearance could hardly keep up with its user-friendliness, or value for money. Consumers would likely be less forgiving than we are. To us, the Huawei P50 Pro is promising, but also too little, and too late. Even for an average user who doesn’t care for processors, specs, or network types, you’d expect the flagship phone to simply work– and likely find the opposite to be true. For all its amazing photo and video capturing capabilities, the phone's overall usability leaves much to be desired. If only the Huawei P50 Pro was an imaging add-on device to a regular phone, perhaps it could still redeem itself. For those who would like to check out the phone personally, it’s available via all Huawei authorised stores, major telco partners (M1, Singtel, StarHub), authorised retailers, and Huawei official online storefronts like Lazada and Shopee.

In 2022, a flagship based on the previous generation's hardware, underpinned by the previous version of Android (with no clear update roadmap), a painfully high price – despite the lack of expected flagship features like 5G – and the ongoing absence of Google integration (that so many users internationally rely upon), all undermine the hard work that Huawei has clearly poured into the P50 Pro, and that's a real shame.

So, a lot of words. What conclusion can be drawn from the results of testing the Huawei P50 Pro? Actually, I can repeat what I said at the very beginning — this is a 100% flagship. Gorgeous materials, IP68 protection, perfect build quality, unusual design, amazing screen in all respects (resolution, frequency, no PWM, color reproduction), impressive cameras (very clear photos, even in the dark), clear sound, good performance, beautiful and comfortable EMUI shell. You can, of course, find fault with the processor, which in 2022 is no longer at the cutting edge of technology and likes to heat up, but the phone appeared in Europe with a six-month delay.

Huawei remains an industry leader when it comes to imaging hardware and software, and the P50 Pro leaves little doubt as to that. If you’re exclusively after one of the best camera phones around, the P50 Pro is certainly up there as a contender. Much of the phone’s other hardware is decent too, provided you can overlook the slightly older processor, middling battery life, and lack of 5G networking. Unfortunately, hardware alone does not make for a best-in-class smartphone experience. EMUI 12 has more than its share of flaws. The lack of Google’s ecosystem and an old version of Android will still be an issue for most but the problems have extended to Huawei’s own apps and ecosystem too. As such, it’s a very difficult phone to recommend. Huawei’s smartphone business is clearly in a tough spot, with both software and chipset hardware clearly not where the company or its customers would like it to be. So, a lot of words. What conclusion can be drawn from the results of testing the Huawei P50 Pro? Actually, I can repeat what I said at the very beginning — this is a 100% flagship. Gorgeous materials, IP68 protection, perfect build quality, unusual design, amazing screen in all respects (resolution, frequency, no PWM, color reproduction), impressive cameras (very clear photos, even in the dark), clear sound, good performance, beautiful and comfortable EMUI shell. You can, of course, find fault with the processor, which in 2022 is no longer at the cutting edge of technology and likes to heat up, but the phone appeared in Europe with a six-month delay.

Huawei remains an industry leader when it comes to imaging hardware and software, and the P50 Pro leaves little doubt as to that. If you’re exclusively after one of the best camera phones around, the P50 Pro is certainly up there as a contender. Much of the phone’s other hardware is decent too, provided you can overlook the slightly older processor, middling battery life, and lack of 5G networking. Unfortunately, hardware alone does not make for a best-in-class smartphone experience. EMUI 12 has more than its share of flaws. The lack of Google’s ecosystem and an old version of Android will still be an issue for most but the problems have extended to Huawei’s own apps and ecosystem too. As such, it’s a very difficult phone to recommend. Huawei’s smartphone business is clearly in a tough spot, with both software and chipset hardware clearly not where the company or its customers would like it to be. I would be prepared to cut the phone some slack on the 5G downgrade, which you might be able to overlook in exchange for the excellent camera.

Huawei is yet again in a pretty tough spot, and I’m not sure what the company can really do to overcome the hurdles that it faces in software. This is the first Huawei phone I’ve ever been able to use as an actual daily driver since the sanctions, and while it was doable, it’s not convenient. If you don’t use a lot of Google services or even want to move away from Google then the Huawei P50 Pro might even be a convenient purchase, but otherwise, it’s hard to recommend this device. The Huawei P50 Pro is a fantastic smartphone in its own right, and with Google services, I could only imagine it being one of the top phones of 2022. In its current state though, I’m not really in a position to recommend it to basically anyone. I can’t use it long-term as a daily driver for the reasons that I’ve already stated, and if you’re in any way like me — a western-based user who makes use of a ton of Google apps — then you’re likely going to be in the same boat. Having said all of that, I truly believe that this is the best phone the company has ever released since sanctions were imposed.

However, in terms of hardware, the P50 Pro is one of the most advanced flagships on the market - particularly on the camera side, where it's mighty impressive - and that's still the case despite its international launch being delayed a number of months. With the asking price also set above the €1000 mark in Europe, it's also a lot of money to ask for a product that won't do everything a lot of people will want. Or at least, won't do easily. That's going to be a hard pill to swallow, further making it a phone that's hard to recommend for most people.

Banking apps don’t work, McDonald’s app doesn’t work, Lalamove doesn’t work. Also, this is the only “flagship” smartphone that purposely deleted 5G support for no reason. And hence, the conclusion to this review is simple – the Huawei P50 Pro is actually a decent phone – just crippled by its lack of apps.

So, finally, the price of RM4,199. Do I recommend you to go out right now and buy the Huawei P50 Pro? Not really. You need to know what you’re getting into. By that, I mean the argument of “not having Google Mobile Services” comes back up, alongside all the troubles that come along. Banking apps don’t work, McDonald’s app doesn’t work, Lalamove doesn’t work. Also, this is the only “flagship” smartphone that purposely deleted 5G support for no reason. I mean, we’ve already tested 5G here in Malaysia – it’s ready to be used right now. And hence, the conclusion to this review is simple – the Huawei P50 Pro is actually a decent phone – just crippled by its lack of apps.

The camera setup combines a large-sensor primary camera with a 13 mm ultra-wide, a 90 mm tele, a monochrome sensor, and a multispectral color temperature sensor for optimizing white balance and color rendering. It also revives the concept of using a monochrome sensor alongside the primary sensor, something last seen in the P20 Pro from 2018. The monochrome sensor improves fine detail rendering and reduces noise, especially in low light. It also helps with depth estimation for the simulated bokeh effect. Если говорить о серьёзных недостатках технического плана, то их нет. К недочётам можно отнести крайне редкий формат карт памяти, отсутствие стандартного 3,5 мм разъёма для проводных наушников. Также стоит отметить отсутствие магазина приложений Google Play и сервисов Google. Вместо магазина Google используется магазин Huawei AppGallery. В нём уже есть большая часть популярных в России сервисов и приложений. Недостающие программы можно установить с помощью программ и сайтов с APK-файлами для загрузки.

The Huawei P50 is positioned to be a good alternative to the Huawei P50 Pro if budget is a concern. The latter is priced at PHP 45,999 while the former is just PHP 39,999. It has a nice design, a beautiful screen, and powerful cameras and performance. The lack of 5G and Google Mobile Services are the obvious cons, but if you’re okay with 4G LTE, already in the Huawei ecosystem, and in need of a smartphone with one of the best camera systems in the market, the Huawei P50 is still a good phone to have.

Huawei had to do a major balancing act to make sure that both their P series phones had enough teeth to bite into the market. Were they successful? Looking at the specs on paper and experiencing the P50 for a short while makes us think that they did. There’s enough Pro in the base model to go around with the right compromises to make the distinction between the two siblings. Time will tell if we end up going back on our initial thoughts so stay tuned for our full review.

Huawei P50 Pocket привлекает внимание уже одним фактом своего существования — гибких смартфонов сегодня не настолько много, чтобы не обратить внимания на один из таких, тем более со столь неординарным дизайном. Да, это довольно ярко гендерноориентированный гаджет, но в случае с гаджетом за 130 тысяч рублей речь в любом случае не идет о массовости, так что намеренное сужение аудитории тут вполне можно оценить в плюс. Также к плюсам стоит отнести максимально тонкий в сложенном положении корпус, хороший механизм складывания экрана, сводящий к минимуму пресловутую «морщину», отличные камеры (со странноватым «ультрафиолетовым» модулем — но он как минимум не мешает, хотя оптический зум пригодился бы тут явно больше), качественно настроенный OLED-экран. Есть некоторые вопросы по софту, который почти не использует возможности складной конструкции гаджета, а Google-сервисов тут, естественно, нет вовсе, но в остальном это неплохой конкурент Galaxy Z Flip3. Правда, конкурент при этом и весьма дорогой — на сегодняшний день разница в цене составляет около 30 тысяч рублей.

There still remains some issues though, with the lack of 5G support and slightly older processor compared to what is on the market currently raising some questions. Add to this the divisive HMS and App Gallery experience and the Huawei P50 Pocket looks great, but may not be able to fully deliver the premium foldable experience that consumers are hoping for. The Huawei P50 Pocket is one of the most striking phones I've used, with a phenomenal design, better battery life than the competition, a capable camera system, and excellent ecosystem features for owners of other Huawei devices. Considering the quality of the hardware and the strengths of Huawei's design, the P50 Pocket feels like a more reasonable proposition at its (admittedly high) starting price. But it falls victim to many of the same pitfalls as its flatter cousin, the P50 Pro: It uses a year-old chip without 5G connectivity, and software headaches persist if you use Google services — or indeed any Android apps that rely on Google's Android software layer. The Z Flip 3 remains the 'default' flip phone purchase, but the P50 Pocket is worth a look. It isn't going to replace the Galaxy Z Flip 3 as the "default" purchase in this particular category, particularly considering the price premium you'll pay compared to the Samsung device. But for the right person — someone who cares about design, wants a big display in a small size, and isn't bought into the Google ecosystem...

Huawei cannot really do anything to revert the US ban, so Google apps are out of reach, but everything else is fair game. Once you set up this phone app, you’ll really be able to enjoy it. It feels really polished, in both software and hardware portions, and it looks truly great. Gold is really not my color, but I actually like the way this phone looks, that’s for sure. It feels premium, while it has a great display, and an excellent camera setup that is side-by-side with the Huawei P50 Pro in terms of performance. The bottom line is, Huawei did a great job, and if you’re in the market for a clamshell foldable smartphone, and don’t need Google apps, this phone is worth considering.

If you haven’t noticed, foldables are finally happening. The past year has seen Samsung’s dominant Galaxy Fold family challenged by Huawei; Xiaomi; Honor and Oppo. Even Microsoft has recently gained ground with its Surface Duo 2, whose updates have rendered it much more palatable as a dual-screen device. But maybe you noticed the pattern there: all those are full-format book-style foldables. For those who also enjoy the more petite flavor – the clamshell flip phone – well, it’s mostly been The Samsung Show. Motorola has fallen behind since kicking off the category in 2019, and a would-be clamshell competitor from TCL was canceled before reaching production. So: the P50 Pocket was destined to make a splash no matter which manufacturer made it. And as it happens, it hails from a company whose beleaguered business condition has done nothing to blunt its hardware engineering prowess. I’m Michael Fisher and I’ve spent two weeks with the first flip phone from Huawei: the P50 Pocket!

The HUAWEI P50 Pocket is probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing devices I have looked at, with its beautiful 3D crosshatch pattern that helps set it apart from other flagships in the market. The main display is great as well, with a very mild crease. Speaking of which, the hinge seems to only wants to open flat or close shut, with it not exactly wanting to stay open in the popular 90° open angle. For RM5999, the HUAWEI P50 Pocket is well in the “very expensive” category of gadgets, all things considered. For two-thirds of the money, you could get a comparable foldable. While it may not have the gapless hinge design, sweet symmetrical holes on the lid and also the rather impressive camera setup of the HUAWEI P50 Pocket, for that much less money, I think it’s pretty obvious what people will go with… I personally prefer larger foldables like the HUAWEI Mate X series, but hey, if you want something more pocketable than your current smartphone or just something fancier, I guess the HUAWEI P50 Pocket is the device to look at.

Can you live without Google Maps and Netflix on mobile? Pocket doesn't have them. Do you game a lot? A SD888 would always run hot, but it's particularly troubled inside the Pocket. Do foldables make you uneasy because they'll break when you so much as look at them? The lack of an IP rating on the Pocket isn't going to help. You insist on having 5G (for whatever reason)? Not in your Pocket, no. There are plenty of reasons why the Pocket is a bad idea, but there's a Pros list too. Fascinating in principle, foldables can be somewhat utilitarian (like Samsung's) or sexy (like this one). And both current Samsungs seem to compromise this or that so as to fit a budget and not to cannibalize other models in the lineup - Huawei doesn't seem to be overly worried about either with the Pocket. The concessions Samsung had to make for the Flip to happen, we think, are camera and design. Those are precisely the two aspects in which Huawei has made the superior Flip - the Pocket is the better-looking of the two and also the better cameraphone.

The P50 Pocket tells a familiar story. Huawei has put together some fantastic hardware here, with a hinge mechanism that’s beyond Samsung’s best efforts, solid battery life, and a powerful camera setup. There are minor niggles – I don’t love the shiny finishes and it’s a shame that Huawei couldn’t match the Z Flip 3’s waterproofing and wireless charging – but ultimately the big problem remains that there’s no 5G connectivity and no support for core Google apps and services. At a cut-throat price it might make sense to sacrifice those, but when the closest competitor is cheaper and more fully-featured, the P50 Pocket is a very hard sell. More than anything else, that’s a shame. Huawei has knocked it out of the park here, and it’s only forces outside the company’s control that hold the P50 Pocket back.

In mainland China, Malaysia, and parts of Hong Kong, Huawei is seen as a luxury brand whose gadgets are a notch above other Chinese manufacturers. “Huawei is considered the Rolex of mobile phones by Chinese people,” a popular phone importer in Hong Kong told me few months ago, when I expressed surprise that all his China model P50 Pros were sold out on day one. Huawei P50 Pocket is the foldable version of the Huawei P50 that was released in December 2021, and the expected price of this foldable phone is around $1,412 (Rs 1,05,499 in India) approx. But, the foldable 6.9-inches OLED panel provides immersive colors and 120 Hz refresh support, while colors and saturation are pretty decent. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint. In terms of the processing powers, the phone relies on the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset. Yes, Huawei P50 Pocket didn’t support the 5G band. Hopefully, the HarmonyOS 2.0 gives a fresh breeze compared to the regular Android OS. As for the camera section, you are getting a triple camera setup including the 40MP primary, 13MP ultrawide, and 32MP secondary camera that can easily provide 4K video recording. At the same time, the 10.7 MP selfie camera also renders decent photos and videos.

So in the conclusion, it will be correct to say that the Huawei P50E smartphone is over-priced as compared to the available specs and features. As this one is a 4G mobile phone, not having a fast refresh rate, strongest battery, or processing power. The only section that receives a thumbs up is the camera. However, while buying a mobile phone, you still need to check your own needs and the differences between the various mobile phones to make the most reasonable choice. So, the users can decide according to their requirements. The handsets will be available for purchase only in China. Thus, if you are not going for Huawei P50E you must check out alternative options such as the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro which will be more appropriate as per the price and specs.

The Huawei P50E was announced not too long ago and the phone is expected to arrive at $630 (Rs 47,990 in India) approx. As for the primary features, the phone comes with a 6.5 inches OLED display panel. For better smoothness, the phone offers a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset that provides Adreno 642L GPU support. The Huawei P50E is available in 8GB RAM with 128GB/256GB internal storage. You will also get a shared SIM card slot to extend memory up to 256GB while the phone runs on HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. As for the Camera section, you will attain a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera, 12MP periscope telephoto, and a 13MP ultrawide for a dynamic range of photos and videos. You can record 4K videos@60fps along with gyro-EIS support with the rear camera. Apart from this, you will also receive a 13MP ultrawide selfie camera lens at the front. The battery section brings a Li-Po 4100 mAh battery with a 66W fast charging support.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

Qualcomm Adreno 660: Мобильная ARM-графика высокого уровня, входит в состав чипсета Qualcomm Snapdragon 888

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.
