With a DXOMARK Audio score of 132, the Vivo X Fold performed well overall in our tests. While it proved to be an outstanding device for recording —thanks to the sheer wideness of its stereo recordings — playback results were just above average, leaving the testers wanting more, considering the X Fold’s dimensions and price point. In audio playback, our experts were satisfied with a deep low-end rendition complimenting an experience that was as equally pleasant in music listening as it was in movie-watching or gaming. However, the tonal balance was inconsistent depending on content and volume, and while the stereo wideness was perfectly good, one could have hoped for even better. The X Fold truly shone in recording, and while it was best with the main camera, results were good with the front camera and memo app as well. Audio recordings were exceptionally immersive, thanks to an outstanding stereo wideness both in landscape and portrait orientations when unfolded, and offered a very pleasant and natural sound signature. "Into The Fold" is all about exploring all the different kinds of flexible-display devices, and after a week with the Vivo X Fold I’ve found it gets so much right that if it were offered here in the United States … I believe it would become the new go-to in full-size foldables.

Вот и vivo X Fold+ вроде бы ничем особенным не выделяется. Да, задняя панель из искусственной кожи, но подобное исполнение есть и у TECNO PHANTOM V Fold. Да, нет зазора между створками, но так же обстоят дела и у HONOR Magic Vs, и у OPPO Find N2. Да, очень крупные экраны (а внешний еще и приемлемого формата), но у Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 не меньше. И все же vivo X Fold+ стоит на общем насыщенном фоне выделить особенно – даже несмотря на то, что это самый толстый и тяжелый складной смартфон. Просто потому, что производитель вообще не стал искать компромиссы. Здесь стоит полноценно флагманский набор тыльных камер – сравниться по возможностям (да и по качеству) фотосъемки конкуренты просто не могут. С видео тоже дела обстоят неплохо. Проводная зарядка – быстрейшая (и зарядник лежит со смартфоном в коробке), есть и очень быстрая беспроводная. Оба экрана поддерживают частоту до 120 герц. По сути, не хватает только влагозащиты – и как-то уже можно простить и неоригинальность, и полторы тысячи евро цены. Пожалуй, это самый «упакованный» складной смартфон на рынке – и жаль, что он пока только для Китая, с соответствующей оболочкой.

Пока избавление от зазоров у некоторых складных смартфонов воспринимается как технологический прорыв, vivo уже давно делает как надо. Прошлогодний X Fold+ уже получился достойным девайсом, но в этому году стало еще лучше. Симметричные половинки и рамки, минимальная складка, роскошные экраны и очень злое железо внутри. Никаких скидок на то, что это складной аппарат не для всех, что это некий компромисс технологий, а производителя надо понять и простить, попутно отдав ему кучу денег за сырой аппарат. Все это не про vivo X Fold 2. Сюда даже Wi-Fi 7 завезли, как и беспроводную зарядку, причем быструю. Единственный минус — отсутствие вменяемой защиты от воды и пыли. Ждем в следующем поколении? К сожалению, смартфон не планируют продавать в России. Однако обходными путями его можно добыть за 120 тысяч рублей или дороже — в зависимости от конфигурации памяти. Учитывая все это, vivo X Fold 2 — одна из лучших на сегодняшний день входных дверей в мир складных смартфонов.

Vivo definitely outdid itself with the X Fold2. It's by far one of the best foldables we've used as it stands out with exceptional displays (even the internal screen has a smaller-than-usual crease), great battery life, nice hinge design and not one but two ultrasonic fingerprint readers that work flawlessly. We find that last bit a huge advantage over the current side-mounted readers in today's foldables. The overall camera experience isn't bad either. It's not ideal, but it's mostly on par with what the competition offers. We would have liked a better selfie and further zoom reach (3x at least), but otherwise, the quality is solid during the day and at night. We also wished for a better stereo speaker setup, although we understand that not everyone would mind the speakers as they are.

The Vivo X Fold 2 is the newest foldable on the market, and I'm a bit disappointed by it — although to be fair, I have the highest standards when it comes to foldables. The X Fold 2 packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, two OLED screens (6.5-inch and 8-inch) with 120Hz refresh rate. There's a 4,800 mAh battery and a triple camera system headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera. To be fair, the Vivo X Fold 2 holds up quite well against the Galaxy Z Fold 4. I'm just spoiled by the Huawei Mate X3 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.

vivo X Fold3 Pro может записывать видео в разрешении до 4K/60 к/с с помощью трех задних камер, а также 8K/30 к/с с помощью основной. По умолчанию используется кодек h.264, но можно переключиться на h.265. Обычная стабилизация видео доступна во всех разрешениях и частотах кадров. Ее нельзя отключить, хотя по умолчанию в видоискателе отображается перечеркнутый значок стабилизации. It has a nice design and IPX8 water protection, a powerful Qualcomm flagship platform, a very good set of cameras, high-quality AMOLED screens, loud stereo sound, good battery life, and fast charging. But now it's worth mentioning that the smartphone is available in a very limited number of countries.

But the sort-of international X Fold3 Pro will be giving the Galaxy a run for its money in the coming months, albeit still regionally - let's hope it's enough of an indication of things to come from vivo, and a wake up call for Samsung. Indeed, the X Fold3 Pro does a lot of things better than the Galaxy, while not necessarily trailing in any areas - unless you're specifically after stylus operation. Ah, if you do a lot of traveling, the lack of eSIM support will be a hindrance too, but that's about it.

As a camera fanatic, I’m usually disappointed with the photographic abilities, and having a nice big foldable display isn’t a good enough substitute. However, with the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, there’s barely any compromise, and it might just be my new daily driver. This phone has impressed me on every front. The performance is excellent, the software works well, the displays look brilliant, the cameras are probably the best on any folding phone to date and it’s slim and light enough to almost feel like a non-folding flagship. The biggest downside is the availability.

That's a tough question – depending on which market you are in, it can be quite hard to get your hands on a Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. We'd say it's not worth jumping through multiple hoops and risking carrier incopatibilities — not because the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is bad, but because there are options out there that work just fine and perform quite well themselves. That said, we are quite impressed with the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro — quality screens, quality build, dual ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, excellent performance and battery life. All that for quite the competitive price — considering that Samsung upped the price tag of the Z Fold by $100 this year, we'd say the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is quite well positioned. Again... pretty hard to find it at a reputable retailer, though.

Vivo seems to have done enough to get any brand-loyal smartphone buyer's attention. Just so you know, this phone is also manufactured in India. Oddly, Vivo does not offer any paid care program to extend the warranty of the foldable, as Samsung and OnePlus do.

Its anti-reflective film was instrumental in helping to improve the readability of the flicker-free screen, especially under sunlight. We measured the display’s peak brightness at 2,340 nits, which is the best so far in our foldable phone database. The anti-reflective film also helped to give the screen a uniform flatness and minimized the visibility of the crease. In the color category, colors showed a slight blue cast, but overall saturation and skin-tone management were well-suited for all lighting environments. Indeed, Vivo has a solid contender for Samsung in the foldables space this year, packing in a few segment-leading hardware features. While Samsung has already taken a hit on a global level thanks to Huawei's reemergence, there's a lot banking on this year's new foldables from Samsung, which is also expected to arrive in a new ‘Ultra' flavour as well. For now, Vivo clearly seems to have enough when it comes to bragging rights, given its hardware specifications. While Samsung has already taken a hit on a global level thanks to Huawei's reemergence, there's a lot banking on this year's new foldables from Samsung, which is also expected to arrive in a new ‘Ultra' flavour as well. For now, Vivo clearly seems to have enough when it comes to bragging rights, given its hardware specifications. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is a complete package and is worth buying. The device is priced at Rs 1,59,999, making it a little pricey but it is good for anyone who wants all the goodness of a traditional flagship phone in a foldable form factor. The device delivers fast performance and also performs exceptionally well in the camera department. The battery life is solid and the 100W fast charger in the retail box is a cheery on cake. You are also getting a top-notch quality display and good-sounding speakers. It is also the slimmest and lightest foldable phone yet. All-in-all, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro receives a big thumbs up from us.

So, if you are looking for a true flagship foldable smartphone experience, the Fold 3 Pro would be a great choice. You will receive almost everything from Lecia optics to seamless software configuration. The phone has an impressive display that can support advanced gameplay and streaming side-by-side. But if you don’t want to spend much on the hardware and want the foldable phone feel, then the Vivo X Fold 3 could be a better deal. At the same time, the phone does lack a few points when compared to the Pro sibling. In our opinion, the Vivo X Fold 3 should have the same hardware configuration as the Pro model. But anyway, the phone didn’t hold back the users from exploring the goodness of extreme gaming performance and delivers amazing camera results. However, both of the models are most likely unavailable in the global smartphone market.
