Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G — хороший смартфон и флагман своей линейки. Проблем с производительностью вы не почувствуете, если не будете играть в современные мобильные игры. Хорошая камера, но плохо снимает видео в ночи. Хороший дисплей на 120 Гц и технология Always-On Display также присутствуют. Есть даже защита IP68, что сохранит ваш телефон от попадания воды. Мне бы хотелось более мощного процессора не только для игр, но и для ощущения определенного запаса на будущее. К работе графического интерфейса нареканий у меня не было. Смартфон в общем плане мне понравился. Каких-то огромных проблем я не обнаружил.

Если HyperOS 2 исправит некоторые недостатки, которые я обнаружил, то это будет ещё более выгодное предложение. Не все хотят тратить 4-значную сумму, которую сейчас стоит флагманский телефон, даже самая маленькая модель Galaxy S24 стоит около 75 000 рублей. Наличие хотя бы некоторых функций флагманского телефона в устройстве стоимостью 35 000 рублей — это довольно привлекательно, хотя я считаю, что Note 14 Pro+ 5G в некоторых аспектах превосходит флагманские модели, учитывая его цену. У него сверхбыстрая зарядка, в корпус встроена амортизирующая пена, панель AMOLED превосходного качества, которая почти так же точна в цветопередаче и ярка, как лучшие модели от Google и Samsung.

S jedne strane, može se reći da je puno toga zadržalo standardnu i oprobanu formulu – dosta toga je ostalo identično prošlogodišnjem modelu, i srećom to su uglavnom stavke koje su nam se i ranije dopadale. S druge strane, došlo je i do značajnih unapređenja. Utisak je da se ovog puta Xiaomi svojski potrudio da unapredi ono što je iznad haube, uz poneko poboljšanje onoga što je ispod.

It has a slightly larger 5,110mAh battery, though the charging speed remains very fast with the included 120W charger. No wireless charging, of course. Besides battery life, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G feels largely the same as its predecessor with some minor hardware upgrades. The UFS downgrade is disappointing, and coupled with the lack of a significant processor upgrade, likely contributes to the phone's sluggish feel. You do get some AI features, but I doubt they make much of a difference to most users. Thankfully, the price remains the same as last year's model at S$569 for the 12GB + 512GB version tested here, while the 256GB model is S$549. Get it now on Shopee and Lazada.

However, the features that matter are the same as in last year's model, which is considerably cheaper now. We hoped for better battery life, better photo quality and a bigger performance bump but these things have not changed in the new model a full year later. So the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus isn't the best choice for hardcore gaming fans. And hey, you also get the same 5000mAh battery with 120W charging vs last year's model. And then there's the gorgeous, super-sharp OLED screen, stereo speakers and 256GB storage - all unchanged, more or less, from the old phone.

Alright, so I better wrap up my review of the new Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G now. And as you’ve probably already guessed, there’s just so much to love about it. Everything from its design, display, performance, and battery, to even the cameras are top notch for the price. I really, really, really wished Xiaomi had managed to ship it with the latest software — aka HyperOS 2.0 — but other than that, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is a terrific phone for some 40,000 rupees in Nepal. Matter of fact, I don’t even think there’s any other phone remotely as balanced as this thing right now.

Everything from its design, display, performance, and battery, to even the cameras are top notch for the price. I really, really, really wished Xiaomi had managed to ship it with the latest software — aka HyperOS 2.0 — but other than that, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is a terrific phone for some 40,000 rupees in Nepal. Matter of fact, I don’t even think there’s any other phone remotely as balanced as this thing right now.

You may think that spaffing out cash on the Pro+ phone might bag you the absolute best tech, although it's only the regular Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 5G that offers a headphone jack and expandable storage. The Redmi Note Pro 5G does upgrade the display tech to a slightly brighter 1.5k panel with Dolby Vision support, while the camera is boosted to a 200MP shooter. However, gaming is still limited unless you go Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G. Battery life is excellent on all three smartphones although again it's the Pro+ that really impresses with 120W fast charge. You've also got more AI features here, but the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus' camera does struggle to focus at times, which will hopefully be sorted in an update.

It's really hard to find any glaring faults with the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, as should frankly be the case with a phone that has all the makings to become insanely popular sales-wise. Xiaomi just knows how to deliver value at this competitive mid-range price point. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G might not sport the most premium of materials, but it is extremely well made and also, new for this year, extremely well protected against the elements. An SD card slot would have been great, and we are sure some will mourn the demise of the trusty old 3.5mm audio jack, but other than that, we can't say anything is missing or out of place in this design. The controls are where they should be.

I know that there are definitely a bunch of things to love about this guy. Including its gorgeous design, that fantastic display, and multi-day battery life. And also its durability thanks to all those IP ratings and the Victus 2 glass. But unless you are literally the clumsiest person on Earth, I can’t recommend the Redmi Note 14 Pro for some 25,000 Indian rupees. And I think instead of spending on all those IP certifications, Xiaomi should have invested in a better chipset and better cameras. So depending on your priority, you can shop from much better alternatives instead.

But I’d suggest that the sheer churn of cheap options needs to stop, and the brand should focus on making one or two genuinely compelling cheap phones. It would doubtless help the brand to provide greater clarity and consistency on which of its many models are being made available in which territories, too. Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand isn’t quite the easy budget recommendation it once was. With the Redmi Note 14 5G, the hardware improvements are incremental, the software experience continues to frustrate, and the competition is only getting stronger. Motorola is now offering genuinely interesting differentiation and bonus features between its sub-£300/€300 smartphones, while the CMF Phone 1 manages to offer considerable excitement and style for a lot less money.

Battery life is excellent on all three smartphones although again it's the Pro+ that really impresses with 120W fast charge. You've also got more AI features here, but the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus' camera does struggle to focus at times, which will hopefully be sorted in an update.

Unlike the 5G model, the Redmi Note 14 4G seems like a more competitive solution in its own class. Even though the phone doesn't have some standout features, it does appear to be a good all-rounder that improves upon its predecessor. Sure, the ultrawide camera is gone, but we don't count this as a huge loss. We've got longer battery life, a nice display, an aluminum frame with an updated Gorilla Glass 5 front panel and decent enough camera performance. Our biggest complaint is not supporting 4K video recording, and the chipset feels outdated for a 2025 release. Most competitors support up to 4K recording and have more powerful chips. And although the battery life is an improvement over last year's Redmi Note 13 4G, we expected more from a low-power system with a generous 5,500 mAh battery.

Besides that, not much has changed about the device's hardware. The new Helio G100 chipset is basically identical to last year's Helio G99 Ultra, especially in performance. The camera setup this year isn't much different, either. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G isn't a bad device in isolation. It has good build quality and protection, both in the form of IP64 ingress protection and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front. Despite lacking HDR support, the display is quite nice and offers plenty of brightness. We like that the battery capacity has grown, even if charging has been notably downgraded.

Besides that, not much has changed about the device's hardware. The new Helio G100 chipset is basically identical to last year's Helio G99 Ultra, especially in performance. The camera setup this year isn't much different, either. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G isn't a bad device in isolation. It has good build quality and protection, both in the form of IP64 ingress protection and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front. Despite lacking HDR support, the display is quite nice and offers plenty of brightness. We like that the battery capacity has grown, even if charging has been notably downgraded.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14S smartphone is a decent deal with few downsides. But the phone has an equal amount of plus points too. For example, the device comes with a decent display, camera, and battery support for day-to-day usage. But If you care about 5G connectivity, then look somewhere else. Besides this, it might not be the best choice for hardcore mobile gamers. Lastly, the camera experience does have a few flaws in the lowlight photography. Overall, if your priorities are a great camera, 5G support, and 4K video recording then the Xiaomi Poco M7 Pro 5G would be a good balance of features and price. It’s just an alternative suggestion, and there are lots of budget phones available on the market. So, choose a device based on your requirements.
