Итак, назовем основные отличия Honor MagicBook Pro от младшей версии. В первую очередь это увеличенная с 14″ до 16,1″ IPS-матрица с очень неплохим качеством изображения, достаточным для любых условий запасом яркости и малым временем отклика. Соответственно, немного возросли габариты ноутбука и вес, но, на наш взгляд, возросли не критично. Следующим значимым отличием является вдвое увеличенный объем SSD-накопителя, составляющий здесь 512 ГБ. Одновременно с этим возросла и скорость диска, что особенно заметно по операциям записи. Кроме этого, в корпус MagicBook Pro можно установить дополнительный диск формата 2,5 дюйма.

I am used to review samples coming with a US keyboard where only a few keys are differently placed but this arrived with a German keyboard and when you use a UK keyboard overlay on it a number of keys move the most obvious is that the Y and Z are transposed but harder to fathom is where other keys have gone the most vital on initial setup of this Notebook is the ‘@’ key as try entering an email address without it, once booted you can investigate further.

The performance of a Ryzen 5 4600H, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage are a pretty great deal for the price of this machine. Plus, the fact that you get all that in a fairly light package and with decent battery life is great, and it makes that price even more justified. I did expect a bit more performance from an H-series laptop compared to a U-series one, but clearly, AMD is still besting Intel's competing products in at least some areas, and there's not much to complain about.

This week, Honor introduced a handful of new laptops releasing over the next few weeks. The most notable of these new laptops is the MagicBook Pro, a 16-inch laptop with a Ryzen 5 4600H processor, which is a six-core, 12-thread CPU. It also has 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM, plus 512GB of SSD storage.

The laptop was released almost a year ago in China, and by now, both Intel and Nvidia have newer components on the market, and Honor itself has announced the new MagicBook 14 and 15 in China, which have the much better Tiger Lake processors and a GeForce MX450 GPU.

Хотя чистое быстродействие ядер x86 не является приоритетом для интеловских CPU семейства Meteor Lake, шасси MagicBook Pro 16 2024 позволило увеличить TDP процессора до 65 Вт. Как следствие, во многих синтетических бенчмарках и тестах реальных приложений чип Core Ultra 5 125H — а это младший представитель своей категории — продемонстрировал лучшие результаты, чем Core i9-13900H, а порой может бросить вызов и кремнию Apple. Встроенная графика Intel Arc с 7 Xe-ядрами обладает принципиально другими возможностями и производительностью, нежели видеоядро Iris Xe в составе интеловских чипов 13-го поколения, и все же не способна заменить дискретные GPU среднего уровня, как интегрированные решения Apple.

It’s reminscent of some of the creator-focused devices from Asus such as the Zenbook Pro and Vivobook Pro ranges, but with a slight skew towards more typical gaming laptop looks. As such, it’ll all come down to performance to see just how viable this machine is come our full review. The price is going to be pivotal too, as always, with Honor often providing very competively priced machines in the laptop space. This doesn’t feel like a luxury device like some of the aforementioned laptops it may be competiting with, so if that means this Honor ends up being competively priced then I can see it being a sleeper hit of 2024 but a high price may see it struggle.

The price is going to be pivotal too, as always, with Honor often providing very competively priced machines in the laptop space. This doesn’t feel like a luxury device like some of the aforementioned laptops it may be competiting with, so if that means this Honor ends up being competively priced then I can see it being a sleeper hit of 2024 but a high price may see it struggle.

We really liked our time with HONOR’s latest laptop. The company seems to have pulled out all the stops in creating a modern, powerful, and attractive PC designed for the age of AI. For now, the laptop will go on sale in China first, like most HONOR products these days, with a global release scheduled for Q2 2024. Besides the MagicBook Pro 16, HONOR also revealed the Pad 9, a large tablet geared towards media consumption, and of course, its flagship phone, the HONOR Magic 6 Pro.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.
